Why Birth Photography?
This is a great way to remember the intensity, emotions and beauty of your baby's birth. I cover the labour, delivery and the first 1-2 hours after baby's arrival. I am on-call for you 24 hours a day from 38 weeks.
What kinds of photos do you take?
That is entirely up to you. Some women like to have everything photographed, others don't. Birth photography can include as much or as little graphic details as you like. We will discuss your preferences when we meet.
Do you have to share my photos online?
No. I never share anything without your permission. We can talk about what images you wish to be shared, all of them, none of them, or just certain ones.
How soon do I need to book?
The earlier the better. I can only take on limited numbers each month, to avoid clashes and to spend time with my family.
What areas do you cover?
I cover births at hospitals, birthing centres and in homes within an hour's drive of the Hamilton area.
What if I am having a caesarean section?
If permission is granted by your doctor and the hospital for me to be in the delivery room, then I will happily do so! Otherwise I will be with you at the hospital before your caesarean and as soon as permitted once baby arrives.
